What Is the BITMAN Pro Series? Professional-Grade Screwdriver Bits That Last
In the previous article we looked at the General series the everyday entry point of the BITMAN range. This time we step up one rung to the Pro series: the choice for users who fasten things for a living, or simply work hard enough that an everyday bit will not keep up.
What is the Pro series?
The Pro series is BITMAN’s professional-grade line of screwdriver bits. It is built for tradespeople and heavy users who drive screws more often and with more force than a weekend DIYer and who need the bit to hold up job after job without degrading.
The steel and the hardness
Pro bits are made from S2 steel, heat-treated to a hardness of HRC 62 a clear step up from the General series’ HRC 59.
Why does that matter? Harder steel resists wear at the tip and the drive profile longer. When you are seating hundreds of screws a day, a bit that stays sharp means fewer stripped heads, less driver slip, and fewer trips back to the toolbox for a fresh bit.
On top of that, the Pro series features enhanced rust resistance. Professional users store bits on site, in vans, in tool bags that see rain and moisture so the improved protective finish helps keep S2 steel from corroding during heavy daily use and long-term storage.
Who is the Pro series for?
- Professional tradespeople carpenters, joiners, electricians, maintenance staff
- Site and workshop users who fasten screws all day
- Serious enthusiasts who have outgrown an entry-level bit
Where it sits between General and Ultra
| Series | Steel | Hardness | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| General | G1 | HRC 59 | Everyday DIY, home maintenance |
| Pro | S2 | HRC 62 | Professional, high-frequency fastening |
| Ultra | D1 | HRC 63 | Demanding work with high-torque / 40 V tools |
If the General series is “good for everyday”, the Pro series is “made to work” the professional sweet spot that covers most on-site fastening without going to the top-tier price of the Ultra range.
Pro range at a glance
The Pro series is available as 2-packs of PH2-PH2 double-ended impact power bits, for example the BITMAN Pro 65 mm PH2-PH2 (order BPH2065-PRO) with more lengths in the category.
