No tool kit is complete without quality screwdriver bits. Even a compact bit holder needs a solid selection of bits to handle daily fastening jobs. Without these insert bits, you will be unable to carry out virtually any manual or power screwdriving work.
In the past, only a few standard bit profiles were required. Today, countless screw profiles are widely used. The requirements for screwdriver bits vary greatly, depending on workpieces, torque demand, working environment and equipment. For these reasons, Bitman develops a full tiered bit portfolio: General / Pro / Ultra / Ultra Diamond.
To summarise briefly: Not all screwdriver bits are the same.

Choosing the right bit depends first and foremost on your screwdriving task. The requirements for bits change with working conditions, workpiece material and application field. Bitman manufactures screwdriver bits covering 4 performance grades to match DIY, maintenance, industrial and heavy-duty impact work. All grades support multiple drive profiles: PH (Phillips), PZ (Pozidriv), SL (Slotted), TORX, TT (Tamper Torx), Hex, ST, SQ (Square). Available lengths for every profile: 25mm / 50mm / 65mm/82mm / 75mm / 90mm/110m / 150mm.

Bitman General bits are your reliable entry-level choice for routine light fastening. Made of well heat-treated alloy steel, these bits deliver stable performance for home DIY, furniture assembly and occasional hand drill use. Available profiles: PH. Length options: 65mm, 90mm, 150mm Perfect for hobbyists, household repairs and light assembly work.
Bitman Pro bits are upgraded for frequent professional use. Optimised hardness and torsion resistance help absorb torque spikes, reducing tip chipping and premature wear. Great for maintenance teams, carpentry and regular power screwdriver jobs. Less cam-out, longer service life compared with General grade. Available profiles: PH / PZ / SL / TORX / TT / Hex / ST / SQ Length options: 25mm, 50mm, 75mm, 150mm Ideal for tradesmen, daily maintenance and medium-torque screwdriving.

Bitman Ultra bits are built for heavy-duty industrial and impact driver applications. Premium S2 steel with precise torsion zone design absorbs peak impact force, protecting the bit tip from fracture under high torque. The precisely machined profile fits screw heads tightly, minimising cam-out and screw stripping. Suitable for continuous heavy load, automotive and construction fastening. Available profiles: PH / PZ / SL / TORX / TT / Hex / ST / SQ Length options: 65mm, 82mm, 110mm, 150mm. Engineered for impact drivers, high-torque industrial assembly and demanding site work.
Bitman Ultra Diamond bits are our top-tier performance solution. The bit tip is coated with micro diamond particles that bite firmly into screw heads. This dramatically increases grip, prevents slipping and cam-out, lowers required contact pressure and protects both bit and screw from damage. Combined with Ultra-grade torsion body, these bits deliver extreme wear resistance and longest service life under repeated heavy impact. Available profiles: PH / PZ / SL / TORX / TT / Hex / ST / SQ Length options: 65mm, 82mm, 110mm, 150mm. Best for heavy impact work, high-value precision assembly and tough long-term industrial applications.

Bitman screwdriver bits are available in 25mm, 50mm, 65mm, 75mm, 90mm and 150mm. Shorter bits deliver stiffer body and maximum torque transfer; longer bits provide extra reach for recessed, deep or obstructed screw positions.
Core rule: Longer bits flex slightly under heavy impact. For high torque impact work, choose shorter bits; for deep hidden screws, pick extended lengths. All Bitman grades (General / Pro / Ultra / Ultra Diamond) support this full length range and all profiles: PH/PZ/SL/TORX/TT/Hex/ST/SQ.
Correct handling maximises bit performance, prevents premature wear and avoids damage to screws or workpieces.
Safety reminder Wear safety goggles during drilling and screwdriving work. Keep fingers away from the rotating bit. Disconnect power tools before changing bits. Do not use damaged or cracked bits, they may break during operation and cause injury.
Select the correct bit profile and length Match the bit profile (PH / PZ / SL / TORX / TT / Hex / ST / SQ) exactly to your screw head. Never force an ill-fitting bit into a screw, as this will cause cam-out and strip the screw recess. Choose the proper length based on whether you are working on flat surfaces, shallow holes or deep, obstructed fastener positions.
Secure the bit firmly Insert the shank fully into your bit holder, screwdriver or impact driver chuck. Confirm the bit is locked in place before operation. Loose mounting leads to wobble, slipping and accelerated tip wear. For 25mm short bits, always use a compatible magnetic bit holder.
Align the bit with the screw head Keep the bit and screw on the same central axis during fastening. Hold the tool straight and apply steady downward pressure. Angled operation is the main cause of bit tip chipping and screw damage.
Control torque and impact strength Start fastening at low speed. Gradually increase power only once the bit is fully seated in the screw. Do not over-torque, especially on thin, brittle or delicate materials. For impact drivers, use shorter bits for high-torque heavy-duty jobs to reduce flex.
Inspect and maintain your bits Regularly check the bit tip for wear, rounding, cracks or deformation. Replace worn bits immediately; worn bits lose grip and easily slip. Clean bits after use to remove metal shavings and dust. Store bits in a dry, organised case to avoid scratches and corrosion.
Master these practical tricks to reduce bit wear, avoid screw damage and speed up your fastening work.
Avoid over-tightening on soft materials On plastic, thin wood and lightweight sheet metal, stop tightening the moment the fastener sits flush. Over-torqueing easily cracks the workpiece or strips the thread.
Prevent cam-out with proper downward pressure Cam-out is the most common issue during screwdriving. Keep constant, firm downward pressure while turning. This keeps the bit locked inside the screw recess and stops the tip from slipping out. Ultra Diamond bits with diamond coating offer extra bite and greatly reduce slipping even when pressure is limited.
Use shorter bits for high-torque impact tasks Longer bits will bend slightly under heavy impact. For high torque, metal fastening or stubborn rusted screws, choose 25mm or 50mm bits for better rigidity. Reserve 90mm and 150mm long bits only for deep, hard-to-reach screw locations.
Loosen stuck screws correctly For rusted, seized or over-tightened screws: Tap gently on the back of the power tool to add light impact. You can apply penetrating oil and wait a few minutes before unscrewing. Never use oversized bits, which will round the screw head permanently.
Magnetic bit holders for small screws For tiny screws in electronics, models or glasses, use a magnetic bit holder to hold screws in place. This stops small fasteners from dropping into tight cavities and saves time retrieving lost screws.
Match bit grade to your workload Do not use General grade bits for continuous heavy impact work. Upgrade to Ultra or Ultra Diamond bits for daily heavy-duty construction and automotive jobs. Using a suitable tier prevents sudden tip breakage.
Clean screw recess before fastening Remove dust, paint, rust or debris from screw heads first. Dirt trapped in the recess stops the bit from fully seating, causing slipping and premature tip wear.
Reverse in small increments for stripped screws If a screw head starts to round off, slow down the tool speed. Use the tightest matching bit and increase steady downforce. Avoid continuous high-speed rotation, which will destroy the screw completely.
BITMAN Impact Screwdriver Bits are engineered for the relentless torque of cordless impact drivers and impact wrenches. Where a standard bit would flex, slip, or snap, these bits keep biting — turning high-torque fastening into fast, repeatable work. Each bit is machined from heat-treated alloy steel with a precision-formed tip that locks into PH2 screw heads for a firm, cam-out-resistant grip. The impact-rated 1/4" hex shank absorbs the hammering load of an impact driver, so the power goes into the screw instead of wearing out the bit.
Available in extended lengths from 25mm to 150mm, BITMAN Impact bits reach into deep-set and recessed fasteners while holding the stiffness you need under load. Double-ended PH2–PH2 designs give you two working tips on a single bit — flip it when one end wears and effectively double your run time between changes.
Whether you're framing, assembling furniture, wiring enclosures, or servicing machinery, the BITMAN Impact series is built to outlast the job.
